Join us for a free full-day, in-person CPD event at IWM London exploring themes of empire, identity and mobility in the context of the Second World War.
Friday 28 November 2025, 9.30am-4pm
Hear talks from IWM curators and academic experts, and spend time with objects from IWM’s collection in our Research Room. There will also be the opportunity to visit the new exhibition “Emergency Exits: The fight for Independence in Malaya, Kenya and Cyprus”, on show from 17 October 2025.
This CPD event is aimed particularly at those teaching History at Key Stage 3 in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland, and S3-S4 in Scotland.
Travel and accommodation bursaries are available for teachers joining us from outside the Greater London area. Please indicate where you are travelling from in the registration form. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Capacity is limited.
