Which antenna type should I choose?

Most business radio systems use omni-directional antennas. Your radio supplier should be able to advise you on the most suitable type of antenna for your radio system.

Where can I get information on the gain of my antenna?

Your radio supplier should be able to advise you on this. Alternatively, the antenna gain will be specified on the antenna data sheet supplied by the antenna manufacturer.

What is antenna ERP?

The power output of the base station antenna. ERP is the abbreviation for Effective Radiated Power and is measured in watts.

How should I measure my antenna height?

The antenna height is the height of the top of the antenna above ground level measured in metres.
