Accessibility statement

Accessibility

The Broads Authority is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant (92%) with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers, particularly financial documents, maps and documents supplied by third parties. This is due to the data being produced by specific software and being presented in a standardised manner, such as tables.

Disproportionate burden

  • Historic audio recordings hosted on external platforms do not have transcripts due to poor audio quality and resource constraints. Please contact us and we will endeavour to find alternative sources of information.

Content not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

  • PDFs and other documents published before 23 September 2018 (unless essential to providing a service). If users have queries about a particular file, please contact us and one of our team members will assist.
  • Live audio and video streams. If users have queries about an audio file, please contact us and one of our team members will assist by transcribing where possible.
  • Third-party content that is not under the Broads Authority’s control.
