Global partnerships

Our scientific resources are a global asset but the greatest benefits to science and society come when we form cross-disciplinary partnerships.

Two people looking happy in the Palm House

Finding solutions to urgent global challenges requires a global collaborative effort.

That’s why we actively seek new partnerships with professionals across a range of disciplines and sectors around the world, spanning science, the arts and humanities, charity, governmental and commercial.

We work with around 400 institutions worldwide, in over 100 countries.

Examples of our partnerships

Identifying threatened species in the tropics

Working with local partners in seven countries to identify and map threatened plants, enabling national authorities to prioritise their protection.

Millennium Seed Bank Partnership

Banking the world’s seeds to safeguard wild plant diversity and enable nature-based solutions through global partnerships.

Doctoral training partnerships
