Grow fungi with us
Our brilliantly fun Fungus Labs have introduced groups across the UK to the wonderful world of fungi. The free growing kits containing everything needed to grow a healthy crop of edible oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus), and can be used anywhere, even your home, office or school.
Our Fungus Labs have been specially designed to share the joys and importance of fungi, inspiring curiosity, learning and discovery.
It is estimated that 90 per cent of plants rely on fungi to live and that 93 per cent of the world’s fungal species are yet to be discovered. Fungi have the potential to unlock sustainable sources of food, material and medicine, as well as other solutions to problems faced by humanity.
Despite this, the number of mycologists (fungi experts) in the UK has declined by 20 per cent and many mycologists are close to retirement.
