Spring into Pagham

Join our enthusiastic and friendly team of guides for a walk from RSPB Pagham Harbour Visitor Centre towards Church Norton.

It is an exciting time of change with our winter visitors being replaced with our summer birds who are getting ready for breeding in the habitats in and around the harbour.

Birds such as Skylarks, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff and Blackcap in the fields, trees and hedges with our beach nesting birds such as Avocet, Ringed Plover, Shelduck and Oyster Catcher to look out for.

Not to mention the reed bed nesting birds – there is a lot to look out for.

HOW TO GET HERE By train The Chichester train station is 5.5 miles away. There is a taxi rank outside the station - ask for Pagham Harbour Visitor Centre, Selsey Road, Sidlesham. By bus, the 51 Link service from Chichester Bus Station to Selsey stops outside the Visitor Centre. The bus station is 2-minute walk from the train station. The journey takes 20 minutes. To cycle from the station, turn south over the level crossing down Stockbridge Road for approx. 100m, then turn left into Canal Basin. Immediately right is the canal path, which is the start of Route 88, currently ending at the Visitor Centre.
