We are keen to involve people in our work and plans. Through consultation there is the opportunity for everyone who has an interest in the National Park to help plan its future.
Details of our current consultations are listed below. If no consultations are showing we have none being carried out at present.
NEW FOREST NATIONAL PARK – NEW MILTON NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN OPEN FOR CONSULTATION UNDER REGULATION 16 (THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING [GENERAL] REGULATIONS 2012).
An eight-week public consultation on the New Milton Neighbourhood Plan starts on Friday 28 November and closes 5pm, Friday 23 January 2026.
During the period of consultation, stakeholders and members of the public will be able to comment on the emerging neighbourhood plan and other submitted documents.
As the neighbourhood area of New Milton falls within both New Forest District Council and the New Forest National Park Authority, the consultation will be hosted by both Authorities. Comments sent to either Authority will be recorded and considered before the neighbourhood plan proceeds to the next stage.
In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations this is a final consultation opportunity to comment on the Neighbourhood Plan before both the Neighbourhood Plan and the representations made are considered by an independent examiner.
