Member Company Search
Secured by Design operates an accreditation scheme on behalf of the UK Police Service for products or services that have met recognised security standards. These products or services – which must be capable of deterring or preventing crime - are known as being of a ‘Police Preferred Specification’. SBD is the only way for companies to obtain police recognition for security-related products in the UK.
There are 3 ways to search for accredited companies:
Product Category Search
The Product Category Search is a search over all the SBD member companies with a filter system on:
- Product Category
- Types
- Features
- Materials
- Standards
Company Search
The Company Search opens with a random selection of companies. As you type in the selection box the companies with that name appear in alphabetical order.
Select the company and it will open a new tab or window to show the company you chose along with all their products.
Product Search
The Product Search opens with a random selection of products and the companies that make them. Type in the selection box and the products will appear in alphabetical order.
Select the product/company and it will open a new tab or window and scroll to the product you chose to search.
