Introduction
- You are required to register your vineyard if the area under vine is 0.1 hectare (1/4 acre) or more in size, or if irrespective of size, it is a commercial undertaking.
- Address details are used to contact you regarding Production Declarations.
Completing the forms
Notes to help you complete Part 1
- "Holdings" - A holding is a single unit, both technically and economically, which has a single management and which either has a wine-growing area of at least 0.1 hectare (1/4 acre) or is a commercial undertaking.
- Total area of your agricultural holding In addition to the total area under vines you should include arable land, permanent pasture and meadows and land used for permanent crops and kitchen gardens.
Notes to help you complete Part 2
- Serial number of parcel If you are completing Part 2 in respect of more than one parcel please allocate consecutive numbers to or name each parcel (e.g. 1, 2, 3).
- "Parcels" - A continuous area of land on which only vines are cultivated. A separate Part 2 must be completed in the case of each individual parcel on which vines are cultivated.
- Material for the vegetative propagation of vines includes:
- rooted cuttings: ungrafted pieces of rooted vine shoot intended for planting ungrafted or for use as rootstocks
- rooted grafts: pieces of vine shoot joined by grafting, the underground part of which is rooted
- rootstock cuttings for grafting: pieces of vine shoot intended to form the part below ground when preparing rooted grafts
- nursery cuttings: pieces of vine shoot intended for the production of rooted cuttings
- top-graft cuttings: pieces of vine shoot intended to form the part above ground when preparing rooted grafts
Notes to help you complete Part 3
The serial numbers allocated to individual parcels in Part 2 should be repeated in the relevant Part 3 containing vine variety details for that parcel.
