Packed with all the monsters you want to see as well as millions-of-years-old fossils, bite-sized science and gigantic fun, Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep is our latest exhibition.

Explore how marine reptiles rose to dominance and decide who really was the most ferocious of them all. Dare to touch a mosasaur tooth, feel a shark’s skin and come face-to-face with fearsome marine crocodiles. You’ll even get to touch fossil poo!

We aim to provide the widest possible access to our exhibition Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep. This will include:

  • a visual guide
  • audio recordings and transcript
  • seating
  • various touch objects including an ammonite fossil, a dinosaur claw and a fossil poo
  • interactive touchscreen and tactile games
  • relaxed exhibition viewings

Visitor information

Members, Patrons and Corporate Supporters don’t need to book and can visit the exhibition for free.

Tickets include Museum entry after you've visited the exhibition.

Make sure you book the correct date, as your ticket can't be refunded or exchanged.

Visitors tend to spend around 40 minutes to one hour in the exhibition.

We offer reciprocal free admission Monday to Friday to our temporary exhibitions for partner organisations as well as Museums Association and NMDC members. Admission is on a first come, first serve basis when spaces are available, so you may need to wait during busy times.
