It ensures that digital systems meet mandatory clinical safety standards, helping care professionals deliver safer, better patient care.

How this service works
The service supports organisations in meeting clinical safety requirements by:
- managing and overseeing the safety assurance of nationally developed or specified health IT products, ensuring that manufacturers and other organisations comply with the mandated Clinical Risk Management Standards
- helping organisations engage with the Clinical Safety Group (CSG) and the provision of Clinical Authority to Release (CATR) certificates where the system requires one
- provision of Clinical Risk Management training to manufacturers and care organisations to reinforce organisational safety culture and establish competence in clinical risk management
- managing the publication and maintenance of the two Clinical Risk Management Standards
