Papua New Guinea (PNG) has taken an important step toward securing the long-term sustainability of its antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance system through a recent high-level AMR Surveillance Sustainability Workshop, led by the national AMR Secretariat.
The latest paper from the Fleming Fund Regional Grant team, GEAR up, argues that current action on AMR fails to adequately address the social and political determinants that create vulnerability and the (gendered) power relations sustaining inequity.

A free online programme developed by The Open University (OU) and the Fleming Fund has been updated with four new courses to complement the existing 25 courses, providing a comprehensive professional learning package to strengthen the global response to antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
The Global Research on Antimicrobial Resistance (GRAM) Project is inviting researchers worldwide to access and utilise its extensive antimicrobial resistance (AMR) data repository, hosted by the Infectious Diseases Data Observatory (IDDO).
