Funding Secured
Trial Planning Phase
The Funding Secured station follows the Peer Review station and precedes the Trial Master File station. This process occurs in parallel with the Trial Registration, Confirm Sponsor, Feasibility & Investigator Selection, and Contracts and Agreements stations. Funding Secured is a standard process which is relevant to all trials. This station is part of the 'trial planning phase' group of stations.
Funding Secured
Once you receive confirmation of a funding award, the funder will require you to complete several steps and activities before the trial can formally begin. The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) has published guidance to help researchers meet the responsibilities once funding from an NIHR research programme has been awarded. Some of these requirements are addressed in later sections of the Toolkit, while others are specific to the funder.
Keeping in regular contact with the funder during this phase is essential, as is responding promptly to their requests and keeping them informed of any updates or issues.
