This Maternity (Perinatal) Incentive Scheme (MIS) evaluation covers MIS years one to six. To ensure a robust evaluation process, NHSR commissioned The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute (THIS Institute) to undertake independent qualitative work and targeted quantitative analysis, to support additional internal (NHSR-led) research and data analysis. A mixed methods approach was used to enable a comprehensive assessment of the scheme’s impact, considering both stakeholder feedback and statistical insights.
