Join our student council to champion the student learner voice and influence what matters to you.
What is the nursing and midwifery student council about?
Do you want the opportunity to share your perspectives on your education programme, develop transferrable skills and boost your CV at the same time?
The National Nursing and Midwifery Student Shared Decision-Making Council is inviting student nurses, nursing associates and midwives to come together and influence change on what matters to them and their communities. All are welcome, but we are particularly looking for student children nurses, student learning disability nurses and student nursing associates to ensure equal representation.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to collaborate with your peers and professional groups from across the country.
The council meets virtually 4 times per year and complements the work of regional councils across the country.
We'll also be holding 2 joint meetings per year with colleagues from the national Allied Health Professionals Student Council, which has been set up across all 15 professions. Learners have been recruited through the student networks of professional bodies. For more information on the Allied Health Professionals Student Council, please contact england.ahpnatprog1@nhs.net.

You will grow your confidence, feel more connected to your learning experience and make an impact in your chosen profession.
