Senior / Executive Team

Nicole McGlennon, Chief Executive

Nicole is the accountable officer for the organisation, overseeing our strategic direction. She has a wealth of experience working in medical technology and pharmaceutical industries, with a track record of building relationships between industry and health and care stakeholders.

Tim Robinson, Commercial Director

Tim is the strategic lead for our work on industry and enterprise and has responsibility for Health Innovation East Midlands commercial activities. His portfolio includes innovator support programmes and digital overseeing the work of the Innovation Pipeline Development and Commercial teams.

Chris Taylor, Director of Communications and Engagement

Chris is the strategic lead for communications and engagement and oversees the work of the Communications and PPI and Inclusion teams.

Eddie Alder, Programme Delivery Director

Eddie supports collaboration across Health innovation East Midlands, including the management of three teams, including: Innovation Delivery, Patient Safety Collaborative and Medicines Pathways. Previously Eddie was the Head of Patient Safety at Health Innovation East Midlands and is a nurse by background. He has worked in a range of clinical leadership roles across the East Midlands.

Amy Farrell, Head of Corporate Office

Amy is the strategic lead for the organisation’s corporate function and oversees the work of the Operations Team. This includes various elements such as human resources, recruitment, organisational development, finances, procurement, IT and facilities.

Programme Leads

Suzanne Horobin, Head of Innovation Pipeline Development

Suzanne is responsible for the design and implementation of Health Innovation East Midlands' Innovation Exchange process - matching proven solutions to health and care challenges, working with cross-sector partners. Suze also overseas demonstrator projects that test out potential solutions.

Shahnaz Aziz, Patient and Public Leadership Lead

Shahnaz manages our PPI and inclusion team. She also facilitates the region-wide independent PPI Senate, hosted by Health Innovation East Midlands, and currently is the lead for the national Health Innovation Network PPI group.

Tracey Jackman, Head of Innovation Programme Delivery

Tracey is responsible for the delivery of Health Innovation East Midlands adoption programmes supporting the spread of innovations across East Midlands Systems. Tracey leads the Innovation Programme Delivery Team.

Kursoom Khan, Head of Improvement Delivery

Kursoom (Kay) is responsible for the delivery of the East Midlands Patient Safety Commission. Kay leads the East Midlands Patient Safety Team.

Gill Gookey, Head of Medicines Safety Programme Delivery

Gill is an experienced pharmacist whose career spans senior leadership and clinical roles across primary and secondary care. She currently leads initiatives to enhance medicines safety and patient outcomes. As a chartered human factors specialist, Gill is passionate about integrating human factors principles into healthcare.

Julian Patel, Associate Director of Innovation Partnerships and Business Development

Julian manages and develops our industry engagement and provides advice to partners across sectors on commercialisation, NHS partnerships and innovations. Julian leads Health Innovation East Midlands' Ignite offer. He also has valuable experience of selling into and partnering with large corporate governments, public sector and importantly the NHS/healthcare environment.

Glen Howard, Head of Analytics & Evaluation

Glen leads the Analytics & Evaluation Service team which provides innovative analytics support for East and West Midlands Health Innovation Networks as well as for other health and care organisations and projects. The team also provides evaluation support and organises the Health Innovation East Midlands’ Information Analysts’ Development Programme.

Alison Mlot, Commercial Manager

Alison and the Commercial team support innovators to navigate the health and care sector through our Innovation Academy and customer discovery programmes to create a compelling value proposition.

Communications Team

Our Communications Team manage a number of channels to support the organisation's activities and innovations. We communicate across a number of platforms including print, broadcast and digital channels including film, e-newsletters, social media and our website.
