Data Access Request Service (DARS) products and services
NHS England is committed to only releasing patient and service user data to those who have a genuine need for it and can demonstrate this to an independent oversight panel.
These pages provide a link to the description of data sets readily available to request through our Data Access Request service (DARS). These data may be provided in the Secure Data Environment or as an extract. For clinical trials you may also want to use the DigiTrials Service which can also provide access to this data.
- we do not make all our data sets available for public release
- some data sets are only available to those organisations which commission and pay for health and care services
- other data sets may only be available to a listed number of approved users to enquire about any other data set not listed contact the DARS applications team
Due to the differences in the cohorts used to create publications versus those in the available data, it may not be possible to reproduce results from official statistical publications using data under an NHS England data sharing agreement.
