How to navigate and make best use of PHI/Online
Pre-election period
PLEASE NOTE: From 16 April 2026, in line with the Cabinet Office General Election Guidance, all civil servants must follow the required restrictions during the pre‑election period. As soon as the pre‑election period begins, government departments, arm’s‑length bodies, and public sector workspaces must ensure that their activities remain politically impartial.
As a result, content published by PHI Online will be subject to pre‑election restrictions, and users should expect a temporary reduction in outputs until after the election result. Essential factual information, and the Public Health Intelligence Calendar containing regular pre-announced statistical releases, will continue to be uploaded here, however any other ad hoc publications or statistical releases will be subject to additional governance and shared only a case-by-case basis during this period.
We ask all members of this workspace to follow the Election Guidance for 2026, which applies to UK Government civil servants working in departments, non‑ministerial departments, executive agencies, non‑departmental public bodies, and other arms‑length bodies. Any content published by members of the workspace which does not reflect the guidance is at risk of being temporarily removed, this includes content within our discussion forums. If you have any questions regarding any aspect of this, please contact us at PHIOnline-manager@future.nhs.uk
