  • Gross Domestic Product (GDP) - (ONS) Gross domestic product (GDP) estimates are the main measure of UK economic growth based on the value of goods and services produced during a given period. GDP estimates are produced monthly, quarterly and annually as part of the revisions cycle to ensure the timely release of data throughout the year. Our GDP monthly estimate consists of output data and is our most timely official estimate of economic growth. The two publication stages for quarterly estimates are our GDP first quarterly estimate and our quarterly national accounts, which include data on output, expenditure and income.
  • Gross Value Added (GVA) - (ONS) Estimates of regional gross value added (GVA), which is the value generated by any unit engaged in the production of goods and services. Figures available for local authorities and NUTS regions.

  • Index of Private Housing Rental Prices, UK - (ONS) An experimental price index tracking the prices paid for renting property from private landlords in the UK.

  • Retail industry - (ONS)  Sales by retailers in Great Britain directly to end consumers, including spending on goods (in store and online) (Retail Sales Index) and spending on services (Index of Services). The industry as a whole is used as an indicator of how the wider economy is performing and the strength of consumer spending.
  • Trends in UK real GDP per head: 2022 to 2024 - (ONS) Explores changes in GDP per head from both an economic and demographic perspective.
  • UK House Price Index - (ONS) Monthly house price inflation in the UK, calculated using data from HM Land Registry, Registers of Scotland, and Land and Property Services Northern Ireland.
  • Wider Determinants Profile: Income and vulnerability - (OHID) Fingertips profile section on income and vulnerability including indicators on children in low income families, fuel poverty, average weekly earnings and gender pay gap.
