Help improve Local Digital’s communications and engagement with councils
The Local Digital team is working with TPXimpact to carry out research to help improve our communications and engagement approach. We’d like to invite you to participate in this research, which will test sample communication materials, and identify recommendations to ensure our communications best meet user needs.
We are keen to speak to those in both technical and non-technical roles in local authorities and sector organisations. The research will consist of a 60-minute virtual meeting and will take place during June or July 2024.

Share your feedback to make the Local Digital Declaration easier to use
We’d like to speak to users from organisations who have signed the Local Digital Declaration to hear your thoughts on revised and new content.
Over the last 6 months, we have been working to help councils use the Local Digital Declaration. The aim of this work is to ensure the Declaration, its principles, and surrounding content is easy to understand and apply.
This user research will test what we’ve developed and ensure we are meeting your needs. Sessions will be held from 12 June to 21 June and will last no longer than 60 minutes.

Join over 50% of English councils in getting ready for the CAF
We are continuing to deliver our support offer, ‘Get CAF Ready’, to help councils in England to build their cyber resilience. This precedes the introduction of the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) for Local Government happening later in 2024, ensuring councils are well prepared.
Through workshops, guidance and one-to-one support, we will help councils identify their critical systems and map their network architecture so they’re well-equipped for when the assessment is officially launched. Additionally, each council that completes the required work to Get CAF Ready will receive a £15,000 grant. Join over 50% of English councils that have already registered.

Join techUK as they celebrate the 10th year of their ‘Building the Smarter State’ conference.
With over 200 public sector and tech leaders, the conference will be reflecting on the digital achievements of the public sector as well as future change to create a smarter state and deliver meaningful digital outcomes for citizens. The event will host a range of speakers including DLUHC’s Chief Digital Officer, Gill Stewart.

Northern WARP 4th Annual Conference
This event is a Northern WARP (Warning, Advice and Reporting Point) event which is a collaboration between North West WARP, Yorkshire and Humber WARP and North East Government WARP. The Northern WARP Conference is an exciting space to hear expert speakers from government, industry and peers speak about a range of topics related to cyber/information security, information governance and information management.
This event is open to anyone in the local public sector and free for all organisations that are current members of any WARP in the UK.
