Jonathan Kini was appointed to Ofwat’s board in 2020, and he is also a Non-Executive Director at the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem). He is Chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee at Ofgem and Chair of the People Committee at Ofwat.
Jonathan brings extensive senior leadership experience across regulated industries, technology and infrastructure. His executive career includes MD and CEO-level roles at TalkTalk, Virgin Media, Vodafone and Drax Group, where he led large, complex organisations operating in highly regulated environments with a strong focus on customer outcomes, resilience and long-term value. Alongside his regulatory appointments, Jonathan holds executive roles in the technology and digital infrastructure sector, including Group Chief Marketing Officer at Tarana Wireless, Inc and Chief Executive Officer of Twist Broadband, Inc.
Jonathan also has experience advising public and private institutions, including previous advisory work with the Bank of England, and has chaired initiatives focused on net zero and sustainability.
