Notice of Ofwat's proposal to accept Section 19 undertakings from Dŵr Cymru Cyfyngedig

About Consultation

This consultation sets out our proposed decision to accept enforceable undertakings from Dŵr Cymru Cyfyngedig (Dŵr Cymru) under section 19(1)(b) of the Water Industry Act 1991 in order to secure its compliance with Regulation 4 of the Urban Waste Water Treatment (England and Wales) Regulations 1994, section 94 of the Water Industry Act 1991 and Condition P12 of its Licence. The undertakings also provide redress for contravening these obligations.

The document summarises the evidence that we have gathered and sets out our proposed findings in relation to the issues under investigation, including why we believe that Dŵr Cymru has contravened its statutory duties and the obligations of its Licence.

Interested parties are invited to comment on our proposed decision. We will take representations received into account before making a final decision on whether to accept enforceable undertakings from Dŵr Cymru.
