An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3, part time Healthcare Assistant in our multi speciality outpatient department to join our friendly team in Community Outpatients, this post will be based at St Oswald's hospital in Ashbourne , with a requirement to work at our other sites, Ripley, Heanor, Long Eaton & Ilkeston, if and when required.

You will need to be flexible and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team involving a large number of specialities.

Previous outpatient experience would be desirable though not essential as we have a full induction programme.

The successful candidate will be required to show high levels of concentration and organisational skills along with excellent communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient running of clinics.

It is expected that the applicant will be rostered to work cross sites, so it is essential you possess a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

As this vacancy is part time, 30 hours, we will not be able to offer sponsorship.
• Supporting the registered nurses and clinicians in the delivery of high standard of care within a multi specialty community environment
• Supporting with the set up and maintaining of clinic rooms and specialised equipment
• Undertaking of basic clinical observations such as height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, and pulse
• Provide support and reassurance to patients and their relatives through their outpatient journey, this includes acting as a chaperone, during examinations and minor procesures
• Escalate concerns regarding patients to the registered nurses or other relevant professionals
• Work flexibly across multiple outpatient sites to meet the needs of the service, adapting to different teams and clinical environments
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
