Youwill be joining a large, well-established organisation within the public sector, known for its strong reputation and impact on a national and international scale. Your new role
This is an interim Head of Tax position on a temporary contract expected to run for 10-12 weeks, with the potential for extension. The role is part-time (3 daysper week), although there is flexibility around this for the right candidate. You will take ownership of the organisation's corporation tax position, with a key focus on overseeing activity in the lead-up to the CT deadline. You will be responsible for reviewing and signing off tax work, providing guidance and strategic oversight and ensuring compliance. The role sits within an established tax function of 8 professionals, where you will provide leadership, direction and support, as well as act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders across the business.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong corporation tax experience
- Proven experience operating at Head of Tax / Senior Manager / Tax Director level
- Ability to step intoa role quickly and provide immediate oversight and leadership
- Professional qualification such as ACA / ACCA / CTA (or equivalent)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience within the public sector or large matrix organisations is desirable
- Global mobility /international tax exposure would be advantageous but not essential
