OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB




Lead and grow multi-sector value streams encompassing automotive, low-volume industrial,

construction, and yellow goods. This senior leadership role carries full accountability for end-

to-end P&L performance, commercial growth, operational delivery, and organisational

capability. The General Manager is ultimately responsible for site safety, quality, cost, and

delivery, ensuring successful operational performance and adoption of the Unipart Way.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Performance & Growth (P&L Focus)

o Own full P&L responsibility across multiple business units.

o Drive sustainable revenue growth, margin accretive growth, and cash

generation.

o Define operational and commercial objectives and drive commercial strategy

across all market sectors.

o Maximise profitability by optimising customer/product mix and growing revenue

through new business development and existing accounts.




Operational Excellence & Compliance

o Oversee all site Health, Safety, and Quality compliance (including Net zero

carbon).

o Ensure management of site activities aligns with legal/ethical requirements

(HR, IT, Finance, GDPR).

o Monitor and measure performance to maximise operational efficiency and lead

all necessary change initiatives.




Customer Engagement

o Lead the customer engagement agenda, strategic selling, and negotiation to

ensure long-term partnerships, account growth, and optimised contract

profitability (PBIT and gain share opportunities).

o Lead and sustain the Unipart Culture, demonstrating our organisational

o Coach colleagues in the Unipart Way, demonstrating role model behaviour

aligned to fundamentals of leadership.




Resource & Talent Management

o Manage resources and skills to deliver tactical and strategic objectives.




o Lead workforce planning, people resourcing, production planning/forecasting,

and talent development/retention in line with the Organisational Capability

system.

EXPERIENCE




o Senior leadership experience managing a large-scale (circa 101–250

colleagues), volume-driven manufacturing/industrial operation.

o Proven success in P&L, commercial management, and leading major

operational change projects.

o Expertise in Manufacturing Operations, Production Management, Supply

Chain, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean and CI).

o Advanced commercial acumen, customer engagement skills, and proven ability

to manage large teams.

o Desirable: Lean Six Sigma certification.

o Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or demonstrable equivalent

experience gained in a similar role.
