A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Applications are invited for this post, based at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital (RMCH), for the clinical management of children with congenital hyperinsulinism and paediatric endocrine disorders. The Paediatric Endocrinology service at RMCH, is the largest paediatric endocrine service in the UK. The service includes nationally commissioned Congenital Hyperinsulinism and Hypophosphatasia services. The Fellowship post is for fixed term for up to 2 years. The fellow has the opportunity to undertake research up to 2 days per week.
The Fellow will gain clinical experience in paediatric endocrinology and congenital hyperinsulinsim. He/she will play a key role in the management of endocrine patients, with responsibility for inpatient and outpatient care. In addition, the post holder will be expected to participate in quality improvement projects (QIP), audit and endocrine research.
Each doctor will have a named Educational Supervisor, Study / exam leave together with financial support available for suitable study courses on request.
