We are inviting applicants for the post of Clinical Research Fellow in Gynaecology. Candidates should be highly motivated to undertake a postgraduate degree and they will be expected to register (and self-fund) an MPhil with the University of Manchester, with the potential to convert this to an MD degree, depending on academic progress. These are also clinical posts and candidates should be at a level expected of an ST3+ trainee. The split between academic and clinical time is 60%/40%. Daytime work will be primarily Gynaecology based but on-call duties do include Obstetrics. Candidates who are successful at interview will be expected to apply for Out of Program Research (OOPR) if they are currently in a training post.

There are a number of research projects proposed for this job which are listed within this advert. The successful candidate will choose which proposal they wish to proceed with. • Non-Mesh Techniques for Abdominal Prolapse Surgery: A Multicentre (UK and European) Mixed-Methods Feasibility Study to Inform Future Randomised Controlled Trial Design
• SONNET: Study Of Novel eNdometrial cancer diagnosTics
• Inflammation and heavy menstrual bleeding
• Reproductive outcomes and immunity after fertility preservation
• Project PRESS – Patient expeRience and rEproductive outcomeS after fertility preservation
• Evaluating the falloposcopic route for detection and treatment of pre malignant ovarian cancer
• Targeting endometrial ImmunE Responses in reproductive disease (TIER)
