Summary


Are you a Dietitian with experience working with children who have diabetes who enjoys making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people with diabetes?

We are looking for a Specialist Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian to join our team working part time at Chesterfield Royal Hospitals working alongside a part time Band 6 Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian.

You will be an integral part of the MDT Paediatric Diabetes Team who are a supportive, friendly team working hard to provide a holistic service to families living with diabetes.

You would be part of the Paediatric Dietetic Team which is based at the hospital and provides a comprehensive service to in and outpatients in clinics and in children's homes. 

 The job will give you excellent opportunities to further develop your clinical skills and knowledge in paediatric diabetes with a proactive forward-thinking team. We will support you to continue your professional development whilst in post.   

As a Trust and a team, we fully support flexible working and can support staff to work remotely as appropriate to their role. 

The dietetic team is small and friendly team of 28 staff including Dietitians, Assistant Dietetic Practitioners, a Nutrition Support Nurse and Administrative Assistants. 

To provide highly specialised comprehensive dietetic advice to children and young people with diabetes and their carers across the North Derbyshire health community.

To provide expert Dietetic clinical advice and support to a complex caseload of patients optimising outcomes for this group of patients.

To work as an integral part of the Children’s Paediatric Diabetes Multi-Disciplinary Team and Paediatric Dietetics Team, working with patients and families and other key stakeholders to deliver dietetic services requiring an advanced level of knowledge, skills, and experience.
