Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a 3-month contract with a reputable food distribution company operating across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for stable full-time work, consistent hours, and valuable experience within a busy logistics environment.
Newly qualified (new pass) drivers are strongly encouraged to apply
Working Pattern
3-month ongoing contract
Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts available
Typical start times: 7:00am or 11:00am
Full-time hours with overtime opportunities during peak periods
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
£14.50 per hour (PAYE)
£16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Overtime – After 8 Hours
£19.32 per hour (PAYE)
£21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
✅ Benefits
Minimum 8 hours pay guaranteed per shift
Weekly pay
Holiday pay accrued (unless PAYE Advanced is selected)
Steady full-time hours throughout the contract period
The Role
Delivering food products across local and regional routes
Completing multi-drop deliveries in a Class 2 vehicle
Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing paperwork accurately
Providing a professional and customer-focused service
✅ Requirements
Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Maximum 9 penalty points
(No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude
