Crynodeb
A well-established, FCA-regulated general insurance business on the outskirts of Bolton (Egerton) is looking for an experienced Senior Third Party Claims Handler to join its motor claims team. This is a great opportunity for an established claims professional to take on more complex cases, mentor others and progress with fully funded CII qualifications.
You'll handle a portfolio of more complex third-party motor claims end to end, working with insurers, solicitors and third parties to secure fair and timely outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing a caseload of more complex third-party motor claims from start to finish
- Assessing liability, reserving and negotiating settlements within higher authority limits
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced handlers
- Liaising with insurers, solicitors, brokers and third parties
- Ensuring full compliance with FCA and regulatory standards
What you'll need:
- A minimum of 2 years' motor or third-party claims experience
- Strong liability assessment and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Good attention to detail and organisation
- CII qualifications, or a willingness to complete them (fully funded)
What you'll get:
- Salary of £28,000 to £33,000 depending on experience
- Fully funded CII qualifications and structured career progression
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising with service
- Company pension, life assurance and a health cash plan
- £300 wellbeing allowance and a £1,000 employee referral scheme
- Hybrid working after probation, free parking and a friendly, supportive team
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (35 hours)
To apply, send your CV and we'll be in touch to talk through the next steps.
