Summary
Present key strategic aims are: To continue to attract commercial global trials investigating the most novel therapies To increase and support a growing portfolio of non-commercial local investigator drivenresearch across all ophthalmic specialties To increase experience/skills of delivering Phase I, first in human studies, to support translational clinical research streams from the University of Liverpool Department of Eye and Vision Science. The post offers excellent opportunities for clinically relevant research training and would suit a trainee ophthalmologist wishing to develop their experience and skill base for designing, developing and delivering high quality clinical research. The appointee will be required, in common with all NHS staff, to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of clinical care through active participation in audit, continued professional development and life-long learning. The appointee should support the seven pillars of clinical governance and participate in annual appraisal.
