If you need to get in touch with your water company, this page lists the contact details for water and wastewater companies operating in England and Wales.
Ofwat does not usually handle individual complaints or enquiries about water companies. If you have a problem with your water company, you should contact them directly first. You can also find out which types of complaints Ofwat can and cannot help with on our Making a complaint page.

- WaterUK – the trade body for water companies – also has a postcode checker to find which water companies serves your area.
Please note that water supply and sewerage licensees (business market retailers) are not tied to specific parts of the country. Most businesses, charities and public sector organisations in England can choose who provides their water and wastewater retail services.
If your business is based wholly or mainly in Wales and uses 50 million litres of water or more each year, you can choose from the retailers serving Wales.

Water Company Performance Report
Ofwat’s annual Water Company Performance Report looks at the performance of the 16 largest water and wastewater companies in England and Wales, across a set of key performance and expenditure metrics.
These are based on information and data published by the companies, and provide transparency on how water companies are performing on the issues that matter to customers and wider stakeholders.
