We are looking to appoint an Attendance Support Officer to join our pastoral team to provide support to the Lead Attendance Officer. This post is part-time and permanent. Working hours will be 8am to 1pm Monday to Friday (25 hours per week) 39 weeks per year - Salary Grade 4 points 7 - 10 actual salary £15,396.49pa
The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with students, staff, parents and outside agencies. Previous experience of working in a school is advantageous but not essential.
You will have: working knowledge of Word, Excel and SIMS, although training for SIMS can be givena full driving license to drive the school vehicle to complete morning pick ups for students conduct home visits to check in with students and families when there has been sustained absence, work across year groups in establishing relationships with students and families in an aim to reduce both persistent absence and severe absencecomplete Emotional Based School Avoidance referrals with the aim to reduce severe absence and obtain the funding to support students attendance work closely with both the lead attendance officer and wider attendance team to support strategy to improve whole school attendance.You will be working as part of a team, but you will also be required to work using your own initiative.Why work for us?
