Summary

Although an apprentice role, this vacancy is open to everyone regardless of age and ideal for anyone looking for a career within Audiology. Over a 4-year period, you will be fully funded to complete your apprenticeship around your working role. You will be a responsible member of the Audiology Department, assisting the Audiologists with their role of providing help and assistance to hearing impaired patients of all ages. You will receive training on all aspects of the role to enable you to fulfil the responsibilities for the role outlined below: Routine aspects of all work within the department including clinics at peripheral sites. Perform audiological testing procedures without supervision including fitting hearing aids. Explain results to patients and where appropriate the importance of ongoing surveillance. Ensure a person-centred approach in all patient interactions.
