Crynodeb
Key Responsibilities Lead on the implementation of research policy and strategy, aligned to national policy. This includes ensuring national research & ethical policy, legislation and procedures relevant to ICB are developed, monitored and delivered. Ensuring that research and evaluation projects are developed, delivered and disseminated according to national policy, guidelines and standards and to meet the needs of the ICB as well as the partners and population of NENC. Ensure that PPI and inclusion and diversity are embedded as per good practice and legislation in R, E&E projects, programmes and related activities. Working externally with research leaders in NENC and nationally to develop policy in line with ICB priorities and population needs. This will include Directors in local universities, NIHR funded bodies like ARC, RRDN and NHSE, NIHR and DHSC national R, E& E leads and policy makers. Engage with a variety of clinical and managerial experts within the system, displaying skills in effective listening, understanding and interpreting highly complex issues, facilitation, effective questioning, critical thinking and reasoning. Have a robust system and processes in place to deliver the ResearchGovernance and Health Research Authority requirements as set out in national policy and legalisation.
