This is a vital role within our Believe Project, focusing on providing life-changing support to women in Ellesmere Port who have experienced, or are at risk of, having a child removed from their care.

interviews will be held on Friday 26th June 2026
It is unlikely, due to operational restrictions that we will be able to arrange alternative interview dates, please make sure that you can attend an interview on the 10th June before you apply.

As a Believe Support Worker, you will be at the frontline of our mission, developing tailored support plans and facilitating group sessions to empower women during incredibly challenging times. Additionally you will act as a bridge between service users and the community, promoting the project and developing essential mental health resources.

The role will be based in Ellesmere Port, but Her-Place Charitable Trust has offices in Winsford and Crewe so some travelling around Cheshire is required.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individual service plans tailored to the unique needs of Believe service users and following Her-Place's unique toolkit.
Create and lead support groups and peer mentoring initiatives.
Work within the local community to promote project awareness and coordinate with referring agencies.
Assist the Charity in developing mental health resources and training programs.
Attend team and project lead meetings, and actively support at least three annual fundraising events.

We are looking for a professional with a background in social care and/or mental health support who possesses the following:

Essential Criteria:
Experience: Proven track record in mental health support and social care.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce reports and deliver presentations.
Technical Skills: Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and G Suite. Confidence using CRM databases
Transport: A reliable means of transport is essential for travel across the service area.
Qualities: A professional attitude, a flexible approach to change, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Compassionate but with a clear understanding of professional boundaries.

Desirable Criteria:
Familiarity with Social Care procedures and the local third-sector landscape.
Experience in project coordination or working within Children & Young People (C&YP) settings.

You will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check for the child and adult workforce.

This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
