The sport and leisure team at Chesterfield Borough Council is looking to recruit gymnastics coaches to deliver its programme at Queen's Park Sports Centre.

Why work for us?
Our gymnastics programme sees 600 children from the age of 12 months to 14 years visit every week. Coaching and developing gymnastics provide children with keys skills, which remains core to our programme. Our programme is delivered across a range of abilities from learners to competitive academy, so come and join us.

We need to recruit a coach to fill a vacancy of eight hours per week, working Saturdays from 9am to 5:30pm.

Candidates should be qualified to British Gymnastics level two, but we are keen to also attract anyone with a level one qualification, particularly those who want to develop through our training programme to gain a level two.

We like our coaches to show a degree of flexibility to meet customer demand within the opening hours of the service where new opportunities are identified.

We expect an innovative and high-quality coaching service to be delivered to meet our customer’s needs. All team members will be expected to provide support to the service covering colleague absences for training and holidays.

We will support you to continue on-going professional development and training. We pride ourselves in paying a very competitive salary, £13.47 per hour for level one and £18.79 per hour for level two, through applying a market supplement.

The successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
