Crynodeb
The following are the core responsibilities of the healthcare assistant. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: Wound care / Dressings / Management Clip and suture removals NHS health checks Blood pressure checks Venepuncture Learning disability reviews ECGs Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate Lifestyle advice B12 injections Diabetic foot checks Fitting and removing of 24-hour BP monitor Doppler FeNo BMI checks Re-stocking of consulting rooms, storage cupboards, etc. Stock ordering Vaccine / cold chain storage monitoring and recording Maintain, clean and check function of appropriate equipment used within the surgery
