Crynodeb
As a University Teaching Hospital, the role includes teaching and supervision of undergraduate medical students, resident doctors and allied healthcare professionals. Applicants should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and a commitment to research, education and continuous professional development. Fellowship-level knee specialist training and the ability to manage complex trauma are essential The successful candidates will be expected to help in reducing the significant backlog of the Trusts inpatient and outpatient waiting lists, as well as being an integral part of the departments 1:16 on call service. The posts will support the departments needs as well as capabilities within the full range of general Trauma & Orthopaedic On-Call work, including adult and paediatric trauma, outside referrals and in-house emergencies. The trust is a Major Trauma Centre and is one of the busiest elective centres in England. The T&O department delivers services across multiple sites, so the applicant will be expected to work on different sites as part of their normal job plan
