Summary

Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover)


£40,000 + per annum | 40 hours per week across 5 days



Rooted in a Montessori-inspired approach, the nursery is passionate about supporting every child to reach their full potential through independence, creativity, and child-led learning. Each room has been carefully designed to create engaging spaces that encourage exploration, confidence, and development at every stage.



Combining modern, thoughtfully designed learning spaces with the character and charm of the original building, the setting provides a warm and inspiring environment for children to learn and grow.



This is a predominantly office-based role, ideal for a confident and organised leader who can oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery while supporting high standards across the setting.



What We’re Looking For



  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or aboveessential

  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manageressential

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements

  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills

  • Confident communication skills with the ability to support staff and build relationships with families

  • Passion for delivering high-quality early years education and care

  • Experience within a Montessori or child-led environment – desirable

Key Responsibilities



  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery

  • Leading and supporting the staff team to maintain high standards of care and education

  • Ensuring compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and operational policies

  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and staff

  • Supporting occupancy, staffing, and general nursery performance

  • Maintaining a positive and engaging nursery environment
