1. Job purpose To provide operational management of the Healthy Little Minds service, that will be embedded into the current care pathways to provide the support and treatment for parents/carers and infants aged 0-2 years. Promoting positive Infant mental health will focus on parent/carer- infant relationship, inclusive of early intervention prior to birth, in the form of assessment, risk management, formulation, direct evidenced based practice interventions, group interventions and professional consultation. This work focuses on supporting positive relationships and strong attachments between infants and their parents/carers. Key partnership work will be required with Childrens Services; Nursery/Education, Educational Psychologists, Midwifery and Health services, Early Help and other services within CAMHS and voluntary agencies. The post holder will work in close partnership with commissioners and with parent/carer volunteers with responsibility for adhering to the contract requirements. 2. Principal duties and responsibilities 1. Lead the operational management of the Healthy Little Minds service, ensuring early identification of infants mental health needs, parent/Infant relationships and additional needs through effective screening and delivery of quality services within a range of open access, targeted sessions and project work. 2. Provide operational leadership and full line management of the team and service, including, but not limited to recruitment, supervision, training, performance management, Individual wellbeing, Health and Safety, finance, data management and reporting, adhering to NCC manager expectations and policy and procedures. 3. Work with the Healthy Little Minds stakeholder group, co-produce and co-develop the service with parent volunteers and embed a partnership approach to development of the service. Work in close partnership with commissioners to ensure that the service is developed in accordance with the expectations of the commissioners, clearly communicating any barriers or challenges as soon as they arise. Ensure that the Healthy Little Minds team are working effectively in the wider context of Childrens Integrated Services Directorate to safeguard children from harm and meet the support needs of Children and Families through preventative and early interventions, using effective assessment, risk management and safeguarding. Ensure learning from the Directorate Learning Improvement Framework with responsibility for quality evidence base of interventions, case recording and outcomes for children and their families meet good standards. To support and oversee the team, enabling them to conduct assessments and formulate plans with parent/carers & their infant who have complex presentations. Gathering, interpreting and integrating data from a variety of sources including medical, social care, education and family along with a range of psychological tools and observational methods with the individual, carers and others involved in their care. To support and oversee interventions that are targeted to meet the individual needs of the infant and their family. The post holder will take a line management and case management role in service delivery. They will work with the Service Leads in-depth knowledge of a range of psychological models, theories, interventions and their evidence base, using a range of professional hypotheses, monitoring efficacy and outcomes and alter interventions accordingly by working in close partnership with the infant and their parents/carers, professionals and organisations who are supporting them. To assist in the coordination and the running of therapeutic groups. To work in partnership with the allocated University to provide necessary information to allow for a thorough service evaluation. Lead the management of change in response to Government Agendas and locally adopted policies and procedures, thus ensuring that the service is fit for purpose. Manage and resolve complaints in line with the Children Act 1989, Working Together 2015, National Minimum Standards and Nottingham City Council Policies and Procedures. Responsible for ensuring the service provides accurate progress reports as required for Directorate targets and service measures, working with commissions around the agreed KPIs. Ensure appropriate communication, liaison and relationships with other city departments, agencies and voluntary organisations and to act as a representative of the department at relevant forums. To ensure that meaningful co-production and participation and a trauma informed culture are embedded as core values of the PIR service from the start of the service mobilisation. To ensure compliance with Nottingham City Manager policy and procedures, including but not limited to GDPR, Health and Safety, performance management, people management handbook and financial regulations. To deputise for the Healthy Little Minds Service Lead when required 3. All staff are expected to maintain high standards of customer care in the context of the City councils Core Values, to uphold the Equality and Diversity Policy and health and safety standards and to participate in training activities necessary to their post. 4. All staff are expected to abide by the obligations set out in the Information Security Policy, IT Acceptable Use Policy and Code of Conduct in order to uphold Nottingham City Council standards in relation to the creation, management, storage and transmission of information. Information must be treated in confidence and only be used for the purposes for which it has been gathered, and should not be shared except where authorised to do so. It must not be used for personal gain or benefit, nor should it be passed on to third parties who might use it in such a way. All colleagues are expected to uphold the City Council obligations in relation to current legislation including the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act. 5. This is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities of this post. The post holder may be required to carry out any other duties as directed by a supervising officer, the responsibility level of any other duties should not exceed those outlined above. 6.
