A specialist SEN school in Burnage is seeking a dedicated and experienced KS2 SEN Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis until the end of the academic year.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive SEN setting, helping pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The Role:
- Teaching a KS2 class within a specialist SEN school
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and SEMH needs
- Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with support staff, therapists and parents to support pupil progress
- Managing behaviour positively and effectively
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally within a specialist setting
- Strong understanding of differentiated learning and EHCPs
- Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
