Job Title: SEN Teacher (Special Educational Needs Teacher)
Location: Withington
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (ongoing until the end of the academic year)
Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £170 - £223 per day (paid to scale, dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Withington from September. This is a long-term, full-time position running through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated learning experiences to pupils with a range of special educational needs, ensuring every child is supported to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons aligned with EHCP targets
- Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of complex learning needs
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with TAs, therapists, and wider school staff
- Track, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Implement positive behaviour and support strategies consistently
- Contribute to the wider SEN school community
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working within SEN settings (ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD desirable)
- Strong differentiation and behaviour management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one prior to appointment
