Summary

We are hiring for multiple Children's Residential Support Worker positions in the Chesterfield area.

We are currently recruiting several passionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers to join a welcoming Children's Residential Home based in Calow, Chesterfield on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people aged between 8 and 18 years old, supporting them in a safe, nurturing and person-centred environment.

Shift Patterns
- Day Shifts: 07:00am - 22:00pm
- Night Shifts: 21:30pm - 10:00am
- Shift Pattern: 3 days on / 3 days off

About the Role

The home supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including:
- Special Educational Needs & Disabilities
- Sensory impairments
- Mental health needs
- Challenging behaviours

The service works closely with Ofsted to ensure every child receives the highest standard of care and support. Each young person is treated as an individual, with care tailored to their personal needs, interests and goals. The team strives to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued and able to be themselves.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience within children's residential care or support work is preferred, however it is not essential.

We welcome applicants with transferable skills and experience from backgrounds such as:
- Care & support work
- SEND education
- Youth work
- Mental health support
- Sports coaching
- Residential care
- Nursing or healthcare
- Security or behaviour support roles

Most importantly, we are looking for compassionate, resilient and reliable individuals who are passionate about supporting young people.

Requirements
- A caring and patient nature
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
