Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week ~ Mon-Thu: 07:30-16:30, Fri: 07:30-13:30

Our client is a global leader in wheelchair passenger safety and accessibility solutions. We are looking for a detail-focused and proactive Quality Control Inspector to join our Whitstable team and support the quality assurance of critical mobility securement systems and components.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest safety and quality standards while working within an innovative engineering and manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

✔️ Inspecting incoming materials and components against engineering drawings and specifications
✔️ Carrying out dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using measuring tools and test equipment
✔️ Recording inspection results and maintaining accurate quality documentation
✔️ Identifying non-conforming materials and raising Supplier NCRs
✔️ Supporting investigations with photographs, measurements, and test data
✔️ Working closely with suppliers, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
✔️ Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function
✔️ Conducting first-stage inspections of customer returns

What We're Looking For

✔️ Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role within manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical environments
✔️ Experience inspecting mechanical components or securement systems
✔️ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
✔️ Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and test equipment
✔️ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
✔️ Good communication and organisational skills
✔️ Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation tools (including WMS)
✔️ Full driving licence and own vehicle
