Weekend Retainer Care Worker (Alternate Weekends)
Location: Across Lowestoft, Beccles, Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Northern Villages
Hours: Alternate weekends
Shifts:
• 07:00 – 14:00 and/or
• 14:00 – 22:00 (both Saturday and Sunday)
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Weekend Retainer Care Worker to join our team on an alternate weekend basis. This is a flexible role designed to provide support cover when required, while offering guaranteed retainer pay for your availability.
You will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities May Include
• Provide personal care
• Support with medication administration
• Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
• Follow care plans and accurately record care delivered
• Respond to short-notice requests for support (deployment shifts)
• Maintain safeguarding standards and promote service users’ wellbeing
• Retainer Pay: £45.50 per 8-hour shift (paid regardless of deployment)
• Deployment Pay: £14.62 per hour for any hours worked when called out
• Flexible working structure with guaranteed base earnings

• Ability to work independently and respond to short-notice deployment
• Good communication and record-keeping skills
• Previous care experience is desirable (full training can be provided)
• Must be available to work alternate weekends
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required
