Individual looking for a 2nd PA to provide support on a Sunday for 3 hours. There would also need to be the flexibility to cover holiday and sickness. This person loves listening to music, reading, sensory activities and listening to animal noises or funny noises to make they laugh. They are very sociable, and when they get to know someone they let their personality show with smiles, giggles and hugs. They are visually impaired and recognise people by their voices.
Initially support would be within the home, but there could be support within the community in the future.
Preferred days/times: 3 hours on a Sunday. This person has support from another PA and so flexibility to cover holiday and sickness would be desirable.
Gender: female
Tasks/duties: personal care, domestic tasks, sensory engagement, feeding, drinking. repositioning, manual handling.
Client main diagnosis: Microcephaly, Global Developmental Delay, severe learning disability, Epilepsy, Nocturnal Epilepsy, Asthma, Eczema, Constipation, Visual impairment, Low weight
Communication: Non-verbal, but is able to use movements, gestures and smiles to communicate.
Moving and Handling: moulded wheelchair used and hoist
Pets: No
Smoker: No
Driving Licence: Yes
Client enjoys: music, lights, social activities, communication sessions, day services
