Support Worker
Pay rate: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour - Weekly or Monthly pay Available!
Shift pattern: Days 7.30am - 17:00pm & Waking Nights 21:00pm - 7:00am
Hours: 30 hours per week
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join a care team supporting a young person with Autism, mental health needs, and narcolepsy with cataplexy within her family home inErdington, Birmingham.
What you’ll be doing
As a Support Worker, you’ll play an important role in helping this individual live safely, comfortably, and in a way that reflects their preferences. Your day might include:
- Providing high‑quality support on a 2:1 basis or 1:1 basis
- Creating opportunities for meaningful activities at home and in the community
- Encouraging social interaction and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Supporting communication in the way that works best for them
- Encouragingindependence with household tasks(such as washing up and tidying)
- Supporting during home tutoring sessions
- Monitoringfood intake and providing prompts to eat safely
- Supporting with personal care and continence needs
- Observing and supporting with medication administration
- Providing emotional support and reassurance
- Helping with routine household tasks to maintain a calm, organised environment
This is a role where your presence genuinely makes a difference every day.
