Waking nights are essential to ensuring people feel safe, comfortable and supported — helping them to rest well and prepare for the day ahead.

Who you will be supporting

The people you'll support lead active and fulfilling lives and enjoy:

- At home: Gaming, comics, cartoons, sensory activities, arts & crafts

- Out and about: Cinema trips, swimming, bowling and walks

Strong relationships with family members are important, and maintaining consistent, high-quality support is key.

What you will be doing (Waking Nights)

As a waking night support worker, you'll remain awake and alert throughout your shift, providing essential support and reassurance.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting personal care needs overnight, including bathroom support

- Providing reassurance and promoting restful sleep routines

- Responding calmly to any needs or incidents during the night

- Completing accurate records and handovers for day teams

Shift patterns

This is a weekend-only waking night role, including:

- Saturday: 10:00pm - 7:00am

- Sunday: 10:00pm - 8:30am

- Calm, patient and reliable

- Comfortable working independently overnight

- Observant and able to respond to changes in behaviour or health

- Caring and reassuring in your approach

- A good communicator and team player

- Organised and confident with record-keeping
