Do you want to be part of an innovative and highly motivated Physiotherapy team, making positive changes happen daily?
This opportunity at York Hospital offers the chance to experience clinical practice in acute and rehabilitation settings, covering the Elderly, Medicine, Orthopaedic, Surgery, Stroke rehab and ED rotations. We have enthusiastic and experienced clinical teams, who will support your post graduate development at a pace to suit your needs.
This post will be based within one of our rotational roles within the team.
You will have opportunities to support staff and students, as well as drive and lead in service development projects and quality patient care. The Trust actively promotes staff development through a structured support process, which will be available to you for both clinical and managerial supervision and encouragement to explore other learning opportunities.
If you have any queries or wish to discuss further please do not hesitate to get in touch!
Please note - to apply for this role as a secondment opportunity, you must secure agreement from your line manager beforehand that you can be released to undertake the role.
You will also have access to peer support both from the senior clinicians in York, as well as wider AHP peer support within the Trust.
We run an excellent practical and simulation based on-call training programme for Physiotherapists, with bite sized practical training sessions available throughout the year.
You will have the advantage of being able to develop skills with patients with high acuity, as seen in larger hospitals, whilst having the benefit of being a close working community of a smaller hospital.
We are proud to offer our Multi-Professional Preceptorship Programme to all newly registered practitioners. This is a wonderful opportunity to welcome you into your new teams and our Trust, providing you with support and guidance as you develop in confidence and competence whilst transitioning from student to autonomous professional.
Preceptorship lasts 12 months and you will be assigned a preceptee who will support, coach, mentor and guide you through regular meetings, along side a programme of structured learning
